Finnish manufacturer Amphion Loudspeakers will be exhibiting at the Indulgence Show in London, United Kingdom, September 29 – October 1, 2017. The company is represented by its British sales representative Auden Distribution and will be featuring in various setups in three different rooms.

On the main, second floor the visitors can experience the recently updated Krypton3. It makes its debut at the London show in Ultimate Stream’s room (D1 – St Julien). Krypton3 is Amphion’s reference project with close to 20 years history of constant R&D in search for the optimum sound.

The latest Krypton3 is a highly innovative three-way, four-driver vented, floor-standing passive speaker which makes it possible to enjoy full range, realistic level, orchestral performances without owning a concert hall. You can feel the “presence” of performers and hear the individual definition of each instrument. Using waveguide technology and controlled dispersion technologies, Krypton3 helps you hear more of your music, and less of your room. Demonstrations will take place at 12pm & 3.15pm and will be featured during the Introduction to Streaming presentation at 1.30pm. Argon1 and Argon0 are on demo in the pc audio demonstration area in the same suite.

Auden Distribution will present Amphion Loudspeakers in rooms 3010 and 3018. In the first one, the audience will have the chance to listen to the bookshelf Argon3S and the floor stander Argon7LS driven by CAAS Audio. Both Amphion and CAAS Audio are excellent at handling detail and maintaining signal integrity. The system works in perfect synergy, designed to complement most domestic environments not only audio-wise but also aesthetically. The system is connected using Audiomica Labs interconnects and loudspeaker cables and is powered via MusicWorks mains block and cables. The result is a musically coherent system that has both Nordic clean design and Yorkshire brawn. The technologies implemented in Argon3S and Argon7LS come from Amphion’s line of studio monitors to provide the home audio enthusiasts an unprecedented naturalness, musicality, precision and detail, which used to be reserved only for professional recording and mastering studios.

In room 3018 visitors will enjoy Amphion’s smallest but surprisingly powerful Argon0, driven by M2Tech. These small bookshelves provide truthful and complete sound representation, typically associated with much larger home speakers. On demonstration are the first UK showings of the new models in the M2Tech Rockstar series of products, the Young mk III MQA dac/pre-amp, partnered with its matching power amp and external power supply. Compact in stature, built to a very high standard, and paired with Amphion Argon0 it makes a compelling case for high quality small format audio.

All Amphion loudspeaker models use the company’s signature approach to crossover design. The crossover point is at 1600 Hz, which is located outside the most sensitive human hearing range, allowing the use of the tweeter in that area, where our hearing is most perceptive. This way the speakers perform as point-sources, solving the problems we generally experience with coaxial or dual concentric designs, where the tweeter is housed in the moving “waveguide” i.e. the woofer. The specifically designed waveguide creates an even dispersion, allowing you to immerse into a room-wide sweet spot. Amphion’s acoustic design together with the specific approach to crossover implementation, have proven their value in multiple home environments as well as some of the finest recording, mixing, mastering and postproduction facilities around the globe.
